Hi everyone and thanks again for visiting my blog.
I’m pleased to say that last week, I managed to meet all my goals.
Monday: Rest day
Tuesday: Did a light session at the gym which included 15 mins on the treadmill and 15 mins on the exercise bike. It was the first time I had been to the gym in around 3 months and it felt good to be back.
Wednesday: Rest day
Thursday: Did the club run in the evening which was approximately 4 miles.
Friday: Rest day.
Saturday: Did Parkun and also the Cheeky Santa Dash in memory of Ben Ashworth. I have previously written a blog post about Ben which you can view here which tells you about his incredible achievements in running whilst undergoing chemotherapy for cancer. The pics below are from the Santa Dash. It’s a great event because it helps bring the running community together to remember a great guy and we also get to wear plastic bums to raise awareness of bowel cancer which is something that Ben was incredibly passionate about.
Sunday: Did an 18 miles walk. I found this really difficult because of the sheer amount of time it took. I set off at 10:45am and it took me around 6 hours to complete which included a break of just over 45 mins. Looking back now i’m really glad that I did it and it reminded me of how positive, strong and determined I can be. Below is a pic of the beautiful Preston Docks which I ran around.
Below are my targets for next week:
Monday: Rest day
Tuesday: Light gym session
Wednesday: Rest day
Thursday: Club run
Friday: Rest day
Saturday: Parkrun
Sunday: 20 miles power walk
Thanks for reading
